Liquid cationic polyelectrolyte for quick recovery of rubber from latex concentrate plant effluent.
P-FLOC 77 is a liquid cationic polyelectrolyte of medium molecular weight. It is an effective flocculant for the treatment of effluent from latex concentrate plants, affording quick recovery of rubber from bowl and tank washings. It effects agglomeration of rubber particles by neutralising the electrically charged particles suspended in the water phase, and by adsorption of the long-chain, medium molecular weight polymer onto particle surfaces, bridging adjacent particles together.
