ACCOT Anionic Polymer
Very high molecular weight anionic polyacrylamide, supplied as powder or emulsion, for clarification and solids-liquid separation.
Anionic flocculant is a very high molecular weight, anionic polyacrylamide supplied in both powder and emulsion form. It can be used as a primary or secondary coagulant in a wide variety of solids-liquid separations, such as clarification of raw surface waters, industrial effluents, mineral slurries in the mining industry, industrial process waters and sugar juice clarification. It suits clarifiers, thickeners, settlers and filters of all types. Typical dosage ranges from 0.1-10 ppm depending on the substrate; where used as a secondary coagulant (flocculant aid), the primary coagulant — usually an inorganic such as alum — is normally added first, followed by the anionic flocculant solution.
