ACCOT Cationic Polymer
Very high molecular weight cationic polyacrylamide, supplied as powder or emulsion, for sludge thickening and dewatering.
Cationic flocculant is a very high molecular weight, cationic polyacrylamide supplied in both powder and emulsion form. It is used mainly for wastewater purification, as well as for thickening and dewatering of municipal and industrial sewage sludges on centrifuges, screen belt presses and chamber filter presses, and is especially suitable where the formed flocs are subject to high shear forces. Its mode of action is based on ion exchange between the electrical charges along the polymer chain and the surface charges on suspended solid particles, destabilising the particle surfaces and bringing about coagulation or flocculation.
